New Merit (MRT) Nvidia GPU Miner – zjazz CUDA Miner

New Merit (MRT) Nvidia GPU Miner – zjazz CUDA Miner

Ethereum, News, Tech
Something interesting for everyone that has taken interest in Merit (MRT) and is mining the crypto currency, a new third parity Nvidia GPU miner for the Cuckoo cycle algorithm used by the project is now available. If you still have not checked Merit, but are interested read more about it in our post and you can request an invite since we currently have a few more extra available to give out. Since invites are limited and hard to acquire, please apply only if you really are interested in trying out Merit and do not waste them without a reason. The just released zjazz CUDA miner is intended to provide alternative to the official miner, giving more flexibility and stability as well as performance in some cases. The new miner comes…

Merit, a New Under the Radar Digital Currency To Check Out

Merit, a New Under the Radar Digital Currency To Check Out

Ethereum, News
Once in a while we stumble on some really interesting under the radar projects that are interesting as an idea and show great potential for growth, often by coincidence or getting advice to check them out by friends or readers. Here comes another one of these called Merit that has been launched a few months ago and has been growing steadily and mostly under the radar, because it is an invite only network where you actually “mine” the invites as well as the Merit (MRT) coins. Merit uses a controlled-growth model, so that there will not be a quick hype, but instead slower, but safer growth of the whole ecosystem with changes and improvements along the way making things better and easier. One of the good things about the project…

Updated Bminer 10.2.0 With a Wider Equihash 144,5 Support

Updated Bminer 10.2.0 With a Wider Equihash 144,5 Support

Ethereum, News, Tech
The last major release of Bminer 10.0.0 has introduced support for Equihash 144,5 mining, though it was limited to only Zhash used by Bitcoin Gold (BTG), but the latest update 10.2.0 opens up the doors to all Equihash 144,5 coins. You can now mine all coins that use the Equihash 144,5 with the use of the -pers command line parameter setting up the coin you want to mine. You can now mine BitcoinZ, SafeCoin, ZelCash, SnowGem and others that use the Equihash 144,5 algorithm with the latest Bminer 10.2.0. We remind you that that Bminer is a closed source Nvidia GPU miner available for Linux and Windows in the form of pre-compiled binaries and that there is a 2% development fee for Bytom (BTM), Equihash and Zhash coins, 0.65% for…

Bitmain Antminer S9 Hydro 18 THS Water Cooled Bitcoin ASIC Miner

Bitmain Antminer S9 Hydro 18 THS Water Cooled Bitcoin ASIC Miner

Bitcoin, Ethereum, News, Tech
There seems to be a new interesting addition to the product line of Bitmain’s Bitcoin ASIC miners, though apparently currently only available on their Chinese website and not on the English version. The Antminer S9 Hydro is a water cooled miner that supposedly delivers 18 THS hashrate for mining Bitcoin with 1728 Watts of power usage. Even though it is just 4 THS more than the air cooled Antmoner S9 miners, the water cooling upgrade adds other advantages besides lower operating temperatures such as improved efficiency, lower operating temperatures and lower noise levels. The new device is currently listed at 7450 Yuan which roughly translates to about $1100 USD for the whole kit that includes the miner, the water cooling and the power supply. Specifications of the Antminer S9 Hydro:…

New 22 THS Bitcoin ASIC Miner, the Holic H22

Bitcoin, Ethereum, News, Tech
It seems that there is more competition coming up on the Bitcoin ASIC market with the announcement of the Holic H22 Bitcoin ASIc miner that is supposed to deliver 22 THS of hash power at 1600 Watts of power usage. The ASIC chips inside the device are based on 10nm technology from Samsung. These new ASIC miners are being developed by a Greek company for their own mining farms (capacity 15 MW in locations), but they also put them up for pre-order for other customers that might be interested. The only drawback is that delivery of the Holic Tec H22 ASIC miners is set for mid to late December and by that time the competition will have similar products on the market already. Holic H22 ASIC Specifications: – Hash rate:…

Ethereum Miners earn $ 2.5 billion a year

Ethereum, News, Tech
Despite falling prices and endless scalability issues, the Ethereum Protocol continues to generate massive revenues for network miners. The figures of a report confirm $ 2.5 billion a year. Ethereum Miners generate a lot of capital According to an analysis by TrustNodes, the revenue from mining accounts for about 8.3 percent of Ethereum’s market capitalization, which is about $ 30 billion. According to the report, on August 11, miners received over $ 6.6 million in block rewards and mining fees. Spread over 365 days, the numbers add up to over 2.36 billion dollars. As the ether rate increases, so does the value. Ethereum’s inflation was also calculated at 7.3 percent, twice that of Bitcoin, which paid $ 12.7 million to miners the same day. Bitcoin’s annual payout for miners is…

New Updated z-enemy 1.17 Nvidia GPU Miner With Better Hashrate

Ethereum, News, Tech
There is another zealot/enemy-1.17 (z-enemy) miner update from Dk and Enemy that adds even more performance improvements to the supported algorithms available. The new z-enemy 1.17 has a major hashrate boost of 5-10% for X16R & X16S, XDNA (HEX), x17, Bitcore (BTX), c11, Sonoa, Renesis and Aergo. Lower-end Nvidia video cards like the GTX 1050 and GTX 1060 should also see a few additional percents of improvement in performance as well. Also note that the latest miner no longer depends on memory, so it allows to run memory clock at +0 or -500 MHz without performance loss. The latest 1.17 version is available for CUDA 9.1 and 9.2 for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows versions as well as CUDA 9.0, CUDA 9.1 an CUDA 9.2 binaries for Linux (HiveOS, PiMP…

Nvidia Pulls Out of Crypto Mining Citing Low Revenue, While Bitmain Tops Their Profits

Ethereum, News, Tech
The persistent bearish mood of the crypto market where Bitcoin has slipped below the psychological price point of $8,000 has taken a toll on the stock price of Nvidia. The graphics chip manufacturing giant is considering taking cryptocurrency mining production off its budget. Nvidia Stock Price Drops Nvidia witnessed massive growth in 2017, which was propelled by the demand for its high-end Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), that are used for cryptocurrency mining. However, the company’s stock price, which was at a 52-week high on June 14, has now fallen to $244, owing to the existing market sentiment and declining mining profits. The company was expecting sales of about $100 million for its cryptocurrency mining products in the second quarter of 2018, however, the actual figures turned out to be around…

Ethereum: ASIC vs. GPU Mining debate rekindled before Constantinople Hard Fork again

Ethereum, News, Tech
The upcoming Constantinople Hard Fork and the Ethereum Devcon4 are getting closer and closer. Coming closer with the ASIC but also seems again. GPU Mining debate flare up, as many miners believe is the ideal time to shut out ASIC Miner from the Ethereum network. Already at the end of March, the discussion arose when Ethereum core developer Piper Merriam had published a discussion proposal (EIP) on Github, which proposed modifying the ethash mining algorithm to banish ASICs from the Ethereum network. The proposal was then the result of a rumor that Bitmain will publish an Ethash ASIC miner. In Ethereum Improvement Proposal 958 (EIP 958), Merriam stated that, in his opinion, it is a recognized fact in the crypto community that ASICs lead to centralization of the network. This…
